Sandesh is a Bengali dessert created with milk and sugar. Some recipes of Sandesh call for the use of chhena (cheese) or paneer instead of milk.


  • 150g Paneer (cottage cheese)
  • ½ cup Khoya – grated
  • Small quantity Green cardamom-crushed
  • Large pinch of kesar (saffron)
  • 6tbsp sugar / jaggery
  • 6 almonds-shredded thin lengthwise


  • Blend the paneer, khoya and sugar/gur together in Home Classic bowl till smooth.
  • Mix in the elaichi and set in a layer about ½ inch thick
  • Refrigerate till set and cut into squares or diamonds and serve.
